Protecting Our Students Against COVID-19

Howard University has taken a multitude of steps to reassure our community that we are operating in a safe and trusted environment for our students to pursue their academic goals. The University continues to closely monitor the spread of COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus, and will make plans and adjustments based on protocols and guidance from the CDC and local health agencies.

Howard University's Bison S.A.F.E. initiative has a goal to Support our community; Advocate for high-risk populations; Facilitate ethical, culturally sensitive, and inclusive research; and Educate the public on best practices for safety. The University’s COVID-19 pandemic response is built firmly within the Bison S.A.F.E. framework, providing up-to-date and pertinent information (App & Online Portal) to help students, faculty and staff stay safe at all times.

Students who have COVID-19 symptoms or think they have been exposed, please call the Student Health Center at 202-806-7540 for testing options. If you are sick, please stay home and contact your primary care physician for medical advice and care.
